Angrymob

The angry mob from Shrek

The angry mobs are groups of people who band together to target a specific individual. All of the known mobs usually target ogres or other fairy tale creatures.

History[]

Shrek[]

An angry mob of ogre hunters goes after Shrek in order to collect on bounties for fairytales creatures. The mob enters Shrek's swamp at night with torches and pitchforks in hand, trampling over Shrek's sign in the process. Shrek sees them coming and sneaks around them, popping out from behind them. He scares them with rumors of what ogres do to humans. After this, he then extquises a torch with his hand. Then, He roars at them, rendering them petrified for some time. The men flee, much to Shrek's amusement, dropping their weapons and a wanted poster, leaving them behind, and being gone forever as Shrek shouts "And stay out!".

Shrek 2[]

Another angry mob makes a brief appearance holding pitchforks and axes (but no torches), chasing after Shrek and Fiona during their honeymoon. Shrek gets his foot caught in a trap, leaving him dangling upside down while Fiona defeats the mob. Another group is seen staring at Shrek and Fiona when they arrive at the Far Far Away Palace. The same group later waves to Shrek when they see him in his human form.

Shrek Forever After[]

A happy mob comes to Shrek before the birthday party and asks Shrek to sign their pitchforks as biggest fans. One of them tells Shrek that he used to be scary and fierce when he was a real ogre and it made Shrek surprised. Shrek later complains about them to Fiona after storming out his party. In the alternative universe, a mob appears hurling weapons at Shrek after he terrorizes their village. A mob also appears in Rumpelstiltskin's village, where they are throwing tomatoes and other objects at Shrek on the witch caravan. The mob's last appearance is where they carry torches and pitchforks to capture Shrek and the rest of the ogres.

Trivia[]

  • In Shrek, the first angry mob is voiced by Peter Dennis and Clive Pearse.
