Donkey

Donkey is the sidekick of Shrek and he is potrayed by Eddie Murphy .

He first appears in the first Shrek film ( Shrek ), in the scene in which Lord Farquad has ordered the rounding up of all fairytale creatures. In an attempt not to be discovered by the government, Donkey pretends to be a normal donkey. However this plot fails and results in him being chased by soldiers into a forest, where he meets shrek.

In the second film, Donkey is seen to have been getting on Shrek's nerves, and then goes on a trip to Far F ar Away with Shrek and Fiona. He is shown to have pretty good table manners, when he washes his hooves and Shrek doesn't. He is good friends with Puss 'n Boots, and the two get along fondly.

Donkey enjoys singing and idle chatter, which proves rather annoying to those around him. He also has a sweet tooth, and enjoys such foods as cake, waffles, and "upside-down coconut soufflé with mango chutney sauce". In a scene about Merlin's bonfire, Donkey's sweet tooth gets the best of him, for he sees only a fudge torte in the enchanted smoke.

Some of Donkey's foibles include acrophobia (afraid of small rooms), colorblindness, hypochondria, cowardice. These, coupled with his impatience and short attention span, prove trying in emergencies. Furthermore, he is often naive and tactless, and even a bit dim Donkey.

In the "Meet the Cast of Shrek 2" segment that is featured in the Special Features part on the Shrek 2 dvd, Eddie Murphy says: "Donkey is a really positive character. He's always looking at the bright side of everything, trying to work it out. A happy-go-lucky donkey." He is funny for a donkey.

In the first Shrek flim donkey is first seen with this old lady which was his owner and donkey and her along with other characters like Pinochio and the three little pig was in a

line for people who had fairy tale creatures and they exchange the creatures for money .When she was there donkey refused to talk and the knights took her away then

some fairy dust hit donkey and he was able to fly he exposed his self by talking while fly after the few seconds of him flying was over he hit the ground and the knights tackled him, but he was still able to escape from them fast enough running into Shrek. Shrek scared the knights away. After shrek did that, Donkey wanted to be Shrek's friend. Shrek was annoyed by donkey so Shrek tried to scare donkey but donkey was not scared by Shrek . Donkey told Shrek that shrek needed breath mints for Shrek's stinky breath by the time Shrek arrived home. Donkey still followed him and talked to him but Shrek kicked donkey outside his house but donkey stayed outside

then at night Shrek see's many other Fairy tale creatures outside his house besides donkey he tell all of them to go but then dont leave they say they were sent there

by Lord Farquad . So donkey and Shrek goes to this place called Duloc were lord Farquad is confort him . When they meet him Lord Farquad say in order

for the Fairy Tale creatures to leave Shrek house they must rescue a Princess(Princess Fiona) . So Shrek and donkey goes resuces the princess

so while shrek is looking for the princess Donkey gets chased by a dragon he was about to be eaten on a broken bridge but he smooth talked the

dragon so he would not be eaten but she fell in love with she took him somewhere and tried to rommance but he was saved by shrek.

During the trip to Duloc, Shrek stated that there was a donkey named Gabi, "the small and annoying", possibly Donkey himself. On the way to Duloc Donkey, Shrek and princess Fiona got along well. Even though Donkey was separated from the dragon he was reunited

with her and donkey and dragon and Shrek saved  princeess fiona from Lord Farquad .

In Shrek 2 donkey is first seen in the flim at shrek house watching the house while shrek and princess fiona are on there honeymoon .

He goes on the trip with them to the land called Far Far away because of his wife drangon vicous behavior.

He eats with Shrek and Fiona and Fiona's family that night and the next day he goes with Shrek in the woods and meets

the cat puss in boss who at first tried to kill shrek, but the cat puss in boots ask for forgivness in shrek  and Shrek forgives him

and he goes with Shrek and donkey along the journey .Donkey and puss didnt get along well in the movie but at the end

they sang a duet of Livin Da Vida Da Loca. Also in the flim donkey turned into a white Stallione horse after drinking some love

potion he was happy to be a real noble steed for a while until shrek decide he and fiona are better Orge form so Shrek and  Princess

Fiona go back to their original form. Donkey and dragon reunites at the end of Shrek 2 with dragon having baby donkey/dragon hybrids.

Donkey is happy to see his babies.

Third

Donkey appears again in Shrek THE THIRD along with puss in boots shrek along for the journey to find the new king of Far Far Away .

Donkey named his kids after his favorite foods.

Donkey and puss switch bodies in the flim put go back in their oringinal bodies at the end.

Shrek Forever After

Donkey is going to be in Shrek Forever After and he will be vocied by Eddie Murphy again.
