Christopher Crosby "Chris" Farley (February 15, 1964 - December 18, 1997) was an American actor and comedian best known for being a cast member of Saturday Night Live. Originaly, Chris Farley was supposed to voice Shrek, but he died in December 18, 1997 at the age of 33 due to an accidental speedball overdose. He had 80% / 90% (or 95% according to his brother Tom) of finishing the project. He was replaced by actor Mike Myers to provide the voice of Shrek for the film.
