Career
In 1985 (right after high school), Myers moved to England and co-founded an improv group called The Comedy Store Players. The next year, he participated in the Wide Awake Club, a children's TV show. He spent a few years playing Wayne Campbell for different networks before working at Saturday Night Live until 1993. By this time, he had made two Wayne's World movies (among other SNL films) and had married his long-time girlfriend Robin Ruzan (whom he divorced in late 2005).
From 1997 to 2000, he made three Austin Powers movies, playing both the titular role and the main villain Dr. Evil. That June, Universal sued him for not playing SNL character Dieter in a feature film. After a countersue, an agreement was made in which Myers would play the Cat in the Hat in a film of the same name.
For the next decade, Myers' most notable role was voicing Shrek in the Shrek franchise.
