Simon appeared in a segment shown on the Shrek 2 DVD and VHS.

The only Far Far Away Idol (which is a parody of American Idol) judge, first he is accompanied with Shrek and Fiona as judge but eventually ends up as the only one.

When you pick a winner he or she will do an encore, or Simon protest, and sing a rendition of "I did it my way".

An online competition took place later, with the public voting. Eventually, Doris (one of the contestants who would if voted for on the DVD cause Simon Cowell to sing) was voted the winner even though he thought she was ugly.
